About The Data Studio
A senior data partner, without the extra layers.
The Data Studio helps growing businesses make their information systems useful again. Practical work, led directly by the person doing it.

A more direct way to work
The person you meet is the person building your system.
When the business grows, disconnected systems and repeated manual work start to slow down decisions.
The answer is rarely another complicated platform.
It is a clear understanding of the questions, a dependable data foundation and tools that fit how the company works.
The Data Studio works alongside founders and leadership teams to connect systems, clarify commercial measures and create useful capability.
Projects stay focused, senior-led and designed to leave the business with something it can actually use.
I’m John, founder of The Data Studio.
I’ve spent more than 20 years working across analytics, data science and commercial decision-making, helping businesses of all shapes and sizes make better use of the data they have.
Over time, I found that the real problem was rarely a lack of data.
It was usually the opposite: too much of it, spread across too many systems, with people unsure which numbers to trust or what to do with them.
That is why I started The Data Studio.
The aim is simple: help growing businesses turn fragmented data into something genuinely useful that fits the way the business already works.
My point of view is that tech should follow the problem, not the other way around.
It is to make the business easier to understand, easier to run, and better equipped to make good decisions.
